Enveloped by Korea
This body of work responds to my winter research trip to a cult's holy shrine in Seoul, Korea, revisiting my childhood experience there, rendering religious iconography, and documenting ritual. This work seeks to make critical inquiries towards the religious practice that the Unification Church holds dear, including mass arranged marriage, self-flagellation, and brainwashing.
